Funding Boost for Register

On 15th. November 2006 the Bellarine Peninsula Community Bank Branch and the Community Enterprise Foundation were pleased to announce that the Bellarine Police Community Support Register Inc would receive a grant of $3038.00 to cover setting up costs, newsletter production and postage costs for the first twelve months operation, plus uniforms for volunteers!

A good news story

Portarlington Country Butchers have brought home the bacon with a $200 donation to the Register! Remember, if you call on Tony and Nicole Lewer they are happy to offer you some dog bones for your pet so long as you provide a donation towards the Register.

POLICE PERSPECTIVE ON REGISTER

• The Register offers contemporary after hours and emergency contact details to enhance police and other emergency service responses.
• It will strengthen local community/police partnerships and support
• It will increase police awareness/action of elderly issues in line with the Victoria Police Code of Practice for Family Violence.
